Friday Egg: Transection Red
Friday egg today is a kind of egg that I don't think I have ever shown here: a rhea egg. It's smaller than an ostrich but about twice as big as a goose egg and comes from a prehistoric looking bird (similar to an ostrich) that is native to South America. The egg has smaller pores than an ostrich egg, but they are still visible in the close-up photos. I like the extra texture they add to a design.
I've been circling circles for a few weeks now, so you will be seeing more of them in the coming weeks.
Happy Friday!

Friday Egg: Hot Day Hollyhocks
I've taken the past few weeks off from working and may be slow in posting new things for the rest of the summer as well due to family needs and technical difficulties (yay for new computer!)
Here's a sweet little one that just had to be SEEN! Bright and hot colors, orange and pink that cannot be ignored. I love this color combination. I call this one "Hot Day Hollyhocks"which seems to be a fitting name for a July blog entry.
Happy Friday!

Friday Egg: So Below
Does this one look familiar? I posted an egg a couple of months ago called "Patchwork" that was finished but I wasn't thrilled with it. So I went back to it and painted over the black areas with 23K shell gold. I really like it now. It really feels finished now.
I hope you like it. Happy Friday!
